AHH!! Ajchoir alumni concert was damn nice!! so worth the money and walking and getting lost that we did before and after the concert. met yy at city hall mrt and we took a cab down to bencoolen hotel then we walked to waterloo street. asked directions from these 2 nice ppl working at a hotel and they were like, "waterloo is 3 km away" and then told us they're joking. concert was AWESOME!!!!! lols pls go to facebook and watch the videos. anw, ACAPELLA PRAC!! colin and chee ang weren't there. we managed to complete the choreo for the whole thing so next prac will be abt running and getting the seal of approval from the guys. then of course they have to learn also la:)

wahh need to sleep alr. tml gg for the preparation for the istana art event at NUS. wonderful:)) sounds like alot of fun.

lols. totally normal day. almost done arranging Because Of You. Using my brother's computer becuse he's hogging my Cakewalk Home Studio 2002.Guitar playing finally sounds like a guitar! rockin'. Hand hurts though. got acapella tomorrow!! looking forward to it:) apparently we need to do a fundraising-inspirational song( if we can) so we gotta decide on that song too. can choose to sing that song with backgroud music also la. would be easier:)

I spent an IMMENSE amount over the past few months!! seriously man, gotta curb spending. i havent totally deflated that 1K from that project job yet, but it's close. keep on withdrawing money like siao.

woohoo. I hope that this time I'll confirm get a hostel spot. I emailed the people and they told me to re-apply as an international student (i think more chance of getting) so that's what I've done. Now everything is in the hands of LOA. lols.

kind of tired with bags under my eyes. supposed to get out today and meet sheryl and sam and go shopping but it was cancelled since sam is broke and the main reason why we planned to go there was to go to a shop she wanted to go( I can't remember which shop to save my life).

AHH i will get a hostel room!!!! i must. Aki is apparently a killer. the senior I was talking to was like,"alot of my wood is out-sourced. we don't really have alot of time to cut it ourselves." Out-sourced means that they buy it from ??? where it comes pre-cut. i think you have to send them your plans and measurements or sth. its gg to be really satisfying at the end:)) i mean, after all that work, when freshies like us go in and say,"omg your proj is so nice!!" you're bound to be proud.

crap la. i think we wasted alot of acapella time laughing at each other's crap. with yy doing weird 'du's while sticking her neck out and chee ang's octave jump that his throat tends to forget to my very-techno-like punches.but we still managed to accomplish stuff. finished the front of OTR and the first 2 pages of I'm Yours. regret my weird beats again, i'm so sorry ppl.

all in all, it was fun. cant wait to sing at the performance! we're gg to put up a great one. difficult songs and all.

what else did i do? nothing actually. gg for driving on thursday. hope no one dies.

Things That I Plan To Have by 2010

haha. i think there's too many things that i plan to have and i keep messing them up.so, list. lols.

1.A DSLR of some sort. for fun.thinking of buying a second hand one.
2.My saxophone!! lols.prob an alto or tenor.
3.A new piano:) cant deal with sticky keys anymore.
4.guitar lessons.cuz dad said i can learn on my own, but my playing still sounds like dying chicken.
5.A wall that I can design and paint on my own in my house. already planning that:))
6.Another round trip arnd Malaysia.hopefully with me driving:)))))
7.Overseas trip with my clique ppl!thailand's on the cards:)
8.more choir scores:) trip to esplanade anyone??

100th post!! AHHHHH!!

OoOoO this is my 100th post!!!(i know mingching reached his like, ages ago.) lols.

nvr get in. so sad:( but hey the experience was super insanely fun!! and YOUYING GOT IN!! so can support her:) met alot of nice ppl, like Iris, Benjamin(CJ) and Maria. Saw Zi and Shah!! Hope they got thru to the next round, they should cuz they are freaking AWESOME!! lols. i know i sound a little too enthu for a person who just like, kena thrashed at the thing she likes to do best, bt honestly, i'm fine. lols. and i'm seriously happy for the others. Iris and Youying got in, CJ should have cuz he has a mad voice and so do Shah and Zi. Was being totally spastic la, but CJ started it with all his,"i'm gg to pimp my crutch(he has _____arthritis (the blank being a word that means early or at a young age.i think it was premature, not very sure la.))" and me gg all ,"ya then you can use it as a new mike stand and like hoble off stage with it, and you'll have sympathy votes...blah blah". Thinking of it, THANK GOD he had a sense of humour sia. anyone else would have been seriously offended and given me the Hazel-stare. and before that, the previous day we were queueing and Iris, yy and I were talking about alot of movies, mainly night at the museum 2 and twilight. lols. lucky she was not some tao person.
All in all, it was really a fun experience la. gurmit is crazy la, super alot of energy, getting us to do crazy dances which were not v effective in warming us up but sure put us in the mood for fun.

CJ also writes songs!! so cool right? he was eavesdropping on my and yy's convo on how i'm setting up a new blog to post my own compositions cuz i'm so bored of keeping them at home. HIS MAIN INFLUENCE IS JASON MRAZ!!! omgomgomgomg. jason mraz fan to jason mraz fan. woohoo!! lols. totally forgot to take his contact la. he should get in so yy will get it next time she sees him. SO FREAKING AWESOME!!

OH ya he also had this spastic game where he chose ppl to go down and he will tell the story and those ppl must like make the sound. YY was chosen so i grabbed her cam and started filming. The game was pretty sane( i wasnt laughing much, so ya quite sane) until it reached this guy. gurmit was like, "the boy was bouncing a ball" and that guy totally put his hand near his crotch area and tried to imitate a ball bouncing, but it came out as "dick,dick,dick". Damn funny!!!!I think i was the first one who got it sia. momentary lag and then everyone burst out in laughter. story continued and gurmit started asking for horny animals like, horny cow, horny lion". Then reached that "dick" guy again and gurmit asked for "horny horse". the guy was like,"neigh, snort" and gurmit was like, NO NO. then gurmit said,"wrong, it should be like this. Neigh, snort, dick,dick,dick." TOTALLY WHACKED OUT FUNNY!! coulnt control my laughter anymore( you know that when you're recording you try not to make noise bcuz itll be v clear) so now the vid has a sadako-like background growling that was me then i tried to control my laughter. Oh my God it was so freaking fun I cant believe it. It made all the queueing and 3 hours of sleep worth it:)

Singapore Idol

So today I'm staying at my grandmother's house so that tml i can go there with youying early. lols. so kancheong but really no choice. i know ppl who are staying over there okay. lols. should see cheryl, azizi, shah and probably Jae. Wonder how its gg to be. lols. should be super crowded la, if i one person knows about 4 other ppl are joining, there must be alot of ppl joining. lols. must be within the first 500!! or must come back another day. DUN WANT TO. but if have to, dammit, i'm gg to camp there.

Singing and escapism

I wonder. I miss the times we used to sing about escape and running away just to feel happy. Songs like Great Escape. Kind of miss those times cuz it would be ppl like me, Sheryl and Sam just singing at the top of our voices, and for a moment feel free of AJ's constricted environment, grey aged walls and institutionalised organisation. I wonder if we'll ever have times like that ever again. Secondary school and JC was fun because of all the singing. Super good memories of being on stage, even though the performances were not always awesome. wouldnt change a moment of it. Singing under the umbrellas in AJ, while wondering what debauchery(i got the spelling right on the first try!!) was going on in NEXUS(or shall I say, SEXUS). None of us could really sing Great Escape, cuz of the range, but if there is one thing i really miss is the fact that we could anyhow whack without worrying what we sound like. really miss that.
